Accessibility Statement
JetourZone is committed to being usable by everyone.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Our commitment
JetourZone is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology, ability, or circumstance. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.
We believe that good accessibility benefits everyone — not just visitors using assistive technologies. Clear structure, readable typography, and logical navigation make for a better experience for all users.
2. Standards we aim to meet
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following principles, as set out in WCAG 2.1:
- Perceivable — content is presented in ways that all users can perceive, including those using screen readers or who cannot distinguish colours
- Operable — all functionality is accessible via keyboard as well as mouse, and users have sufficient time to interact with content
- Understandable — content is written in plain, clear language and the site behaves in predictable, consistent ways
- Robust — content is built to be compatible with current and future assistive technologies
3. What we have done
We have taken the following steps to improve the accessibility of JetourZone:
- Used a clear, logical heading structure (H1 through H4) throughout all pages and destination guides
- Ensured sufficient colour contrast between text and background across all site elements
- Added descriptive alt text to all informational images
- Used descriptive, meaningful link text throughout — no “click here” or “read more” links without context
- Built a fully responsive layout that adapts correctly to all screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- Ensured all interactive elements including navigation menus, forms, and buttons are accessible via keyboard
- Used semantic HTML elements to help assistive technologies interpret page structure correctly
- Avoided content that flashes or strobes in ways known to cause seizures
4. Known limitations
We are an ongoing editorial project and we acknowledge that not every part of JetourZone currently meets WCAG 2.1 AA in full. Known areas we are actively working to improve include:
- Some older destination guide content may contain images without adequate alt text — we are reviewing and updating these progressively
- Third-party embedded content such as maps may have their own accessibility constraints that are outside our direct control
- Our cookie consent notice is provided by a third-party tool and may not fully meet all WCAG criteria — we are reviewing alternatives
We are committed to addressing these limitations as a priority and will update this statement as improvements are made.
5. Assistive technology compatibility
JetourZone has been tested and is intended to work with the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA screen reader with Google Chrome on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS
- VoiceOver with Safari on iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation on all major browsers
If you experience difficulties using JetourZone with an assistive technology not listed above, please let us know at info@jetourzone.com and we will investigate.
6. Text resizing and zoom
JetourZone is designed to remain fully readable and functional when text is resized up to 200% in your browser without loss of content or functionality. All text on the site uses relative units to support browser-level text size adjustments.
7. Colour and visual design
We have designed JetourZone with accessibility in mind:
- All body text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against its background, in line with WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- Colour is never used as the sole means of conveying information
- Focus indicators are visible on all interactive elements for keyboard users
8. Forms and interactive elements
All forms on JetourZone, including our contact form, are built with accessibility in mind:
- All form fields have clearly associated labels
- Required fields are indicated both visually and programmatically
- Error messages are descriptive and identify the specific field that requires attention
- The form can be completed and submitted using keyboard navigation alone
9. Feedback and contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of JetourZone. If you experience any barriers, encounter content you cannot access, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at info@jetourzone.com.
We aim to respond to all accessibility enquiries within 5 business days. If you report an accessibility issue, we will acknowledge your report promptly and provide an estimated timeframe for resolution.
10. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may wish to contact the relevant authority in your country. In the United Kingdom, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations. In the EU, equivalent national bodies exist in each member state.
11. Changes to this statement
We review and update this Accessibility Statement regularly as we make improvements to the site. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
